Operating Principle and Structural Description -
1. When the handwheel is turned clockwise, the valve stem moves downward, the valve disc descends, and the sealing surface closes, blocking the passage. Reversing the direction opens the valve, raising the valve stem to its highest point for sealing.
2. This flanged gate valve has an added top seal. When the valve is open, it provides a double-layer seal along with the packing, and also offers some protection to the packing.
3. This valve uses nylon for the sealing surface, soft molded packing, and the top seal is also made of soft material, resulting in good sealing performance.
